At RISE Performance Outdoor Boot Camp we will be using our body weight  and interval work as the main tools in each class. This type of training allows you to burn a larger amount of calories and blast more fat throughout the day, in comparison to traditional steady-state cardio. By utilizing cardio-type movements with our body weight we will be reaping the benefits of both cardio (heart benefits) and weight lifting (building muscle, speeding metabolism), which has been proven to burn more fat than cardio alone. In addition to strengthening our heart and burning fat, we will also be taking the drudgery out of long and boring exercises...you will be involved in an atmosphere that makes you feel like a kid again. Games, challenges, and/or small group work all play a part in making RISE Performance Boot Camp stand out from the rest.


Classes will be held at various outdoor locations around Burlington (tbd at the beginning of each week). They will be held each Tuesday and Thursday, beginning May 31 and ending August 11 (a total of 22 classes). Class length is 45 minutes.

 

Listed below are the 2 available class times. Once you select a class time, that will be your class time for the entire 11 weeks. Each class time must have a minimum of 5 people and is allowed a maximum of 15 people. Classes will be held outdoor RAIN OR SHINE, and will only be canceled in the event of severe weather (thunder/lightning). In the event of a cancellation, classes will be made up at the same time on a M, W, or F.

 

There is a one-time, non-refundable, "pilot-program discount" fee of $75 (less than $3.50 per class!!), and payment must be received before your spot can be reserved. Registration closes May 23. I will be happy to arrange a pick-up of your payment to ensure you receive your spot.

 

It is encouraged that you bring a yoga/fitness mat, workout gloves (to protect your hands from any concrete or hidden items in the grass), and you MUST bring a bottle of water to ensure hydration. You will be sweating a lot! :) Please dress appropriately for the weather and activities! (Yoga mats and workout gloves can be purchased at most big box retail stores around town for around $10-$20)


*All fitness levels are welcome - however, it is recommended that you have prior exercise experience. You must be in good health, with a physician's consent to partake. This class will challenge your mind and body, make you smile, and help you RISE to the top!*
